Siemens SpeedStream and Gigaset Modems

Please note: Speedstream modem set-up's under Windows Vista are the same as Windows XP. However, if you wish to use the USB connection rather than the Ethernet connection, Windows Vista USB drivers will be required. Refer links on this page.

 
 

Sale Queries

Siemens SpeedStream 4200 and 6520 modems and Gigaset SE551 modems are only sold in Australia through selected internet providers, which include them in their internet access packs. If you have any sales related queries, please call one of the following providers:

Technical Queries

To assist you with any technical queries, Siemens has collated data sheets, user manuals, drivers and answers to common questions. Please click on the relevant link in the left hand margin.

For further queries relating to the setup of your account, call:

  • Optus Support on 1300 309 333, or
  • Your relevant internet provider if the modem was purchased elsewhere.

Please Note: Due to its arrangements with the above Providers, Siemens is not set up to provide modem support. However, if further high-level support is requested, Siemens can arrange for Engineering assistance on a fee-for-service basis. Standard charges for this support are listed below:

No Charge:

  • direction to the web site by the Call Centre for information covered in manuals.
  • if the problem turns out to be related to a faulty modem.

$100 per 15 mins or part thereof

  • Technical support related to modem/bridge setups, router setups & configurations and network interoperability.

This service can be obtained by calling 03 9721-2200 between 8.30am and 4.30pm EST / EDST Monday to Friday (except public holidays). All charges are by credit card - Visa or Master Card only. Please have your credit card details available if you wish to use this service.
